In 2007 Clive Taylor was asked to manage the full rebuild of two of the Ex-Peugeot GB Super 1600 206’s. This was the first of the two rebuilds and was the car that Justin Dale used in the British Rally Championship in 2000. It was fully rebuilt as per International Homologation regulations for use in the Irish Tarmac Rally Championship with a fresh engine and transmission and all major components fully serviced
The second car was the one originally used by Gary Jennings in the British Rally Championship in 2003. This car was also fully rebuilt from the bare shell upwards into a gravel specification car for use in Irish Forestry Championship. Again, it retained its full compliance to international Super 1600 Homologation regulations.
Both cars required extensive work with repairs to the body shells, newly rebuilt engines and transmissions and all other components from suspension, fuel systems, electrics etc. all serviced and updated. Both cars were completed ahead of championship campaigns in 2008/9
